A Canadian and a German elope to Scotland

Serendipity.
When you find something beautiful in the unexpected.
That is Lauren(she/her) and Tom(he/him). Having been together for nine years already… when we met them on a call, these two just won our hearts with their beautiful love story. German Tom and Canadian Lauren had built an incredible life together, which was so easy to see. Conversation flowed easily and the two just bounced off of one another graciously. They wanted us to capture their intimate elopement in Glasgow and we were excited. These two clearly adored one another and their gorgeous two doggos that also made an appearance in the call, Juno and Leo.
Fast forward a few months and we are in the car with two Canadians popped into the back. Adventuring around Loch Lomond and a few castle ruins to do an ethereal styled couple shoot for the two before their wedding day.
The day ended with two tired humans with goofy smiles drenched in Scottish rain. Anticipation at the core of it all for their hitch day.
On rolled the day!
After meeting Lauren in a nearby hotel, we snapped some getting ready shots of her and her close friends. Glitter and belly laughs filled the room as the excitement was building.
We later met Tom as we ducked into a little side street in Glasgow so the two could have a special intimate first look and personal vow reading.
Emotions ran high and made their way down cheeks as the two worked their way through their vows.
Tissues galore, it truly was something…
Hand in hand the two then made their way to the registry office to make it official.
Off to the Glasgow registry office in the classically adorned Clyde Suite. We were met by their chosen family, huge smiles and excitement to be part of such a gorgeous day for these two. Jetlag forgotten as everyone travelled from Canada and Germany to be here for this Glasgow city elopement.
After a heartfelt ceremony, hand-fasting ceremony and a beautiful first kiss, we drowned the two in confetti from yourconfetti. The streets were laced with orange coloured bits and cheers as we celebrated the start of the next part of Lauren and Tom’s gorgeous journey.
Once well drenched in confetti and celebratory kisses we snapped a few family shots with the newlyweds. We were then off to bumble around the beautiful streets of Glasgow to capture some couple photos of the two whilst making our way to their final destination for the evening which would be the lovely Oran Mor in Glasgow central.
On our way we stumbled into the evergreen botanical Gardens in Glasgow. The two wondered around whilst we snapped pictures of them being so wonderfully themselves.
With childlike abandon, they explored the gorgeous fauna around them.
After this, they bundled into a room in Oran Mor Glasgow to enjoy a meal in a stunning room. Embellished with décor and little touches that just made this day even more special for the two. After Lauren’s mum made us all cry with her lovely speech, we bid the two farewell as they enjoyed some jovial celebration and a hearty meal with their loved ones. With a glass of champers of course!
