An Oxford City Elopement
Celine & Thomas
What does a picnic with a packed lunch and colorful vibrant florals have in common? Well, these are a few of our favorite elements from the gorgeous Oxford elopement of Celine(she/her) and Thomas(he/him).
We initially knew that we wanted to capture these two when we had a call and just adored Celine’s infection laugh and Thomas’ efficiently organized demeanor.
These two had an absolutely exquisite elopement planned in Oxford.
A city well-known for its gorgeous architecture and we were excited. They had plans to make this a unique day that matched what they were all about.
These two have been together since they were 16 years old.
Childhood sweethearts who have grown together and built a life. They had supported each other fully, and their adoration and respect ran at the core of their day.
We caught this bus into Oxford in the morning, armed with our kit and our videography team mate @kukjans weddings. We met Celine and her ‘I do crew’ at the @Vanbrugh hotel where they were getting ready. We walked into a calm atmosphere as everyone was laughing a conversation was floating about.
When everyone was all prepped and ready we had a beautiful first look moment with Celine and her father. We cherish being able to capture these little moments that lingering for a lifetime.
After emotions ran high, we all made our way on foot through the bustling Oxford city.
All the way to @Oxford town hall where Thomas was waiting for his wife-to-be.
The sun was playfully casting rays through the big open windows as these two said I do in front of their chosen loved ones. The hall was adorned in beautiful fresh colourful flowers by the lovely @ThegardenofOxford.
After the two had their final kiss and said and were embraced with congratulations from their loved ones, we drenched them in confetti on the front steps of @oxford town hall.
Happiness filled the air. Along with some left over confetti!
We then received our packed lunches which the two had made for all their guests and us, even considering our dietary requirements. We then drifted through the streets of Oxford to have a picnic with the two in the park.
We snapped away happily as the two got lost in each other and in conversation.
After the cutest damn picnic in a park nearby, we set off for our final destination at @geesgallery. It was a bit of a trek to get there, but the two effortlessly made their way.
Once we got to @geesgallery they were welcomed by more congratulations and happy faces.
The two enjoyed some time chatting with their guests before a few more formalities to place. Speeches from close friends and then cutting their gorgeous cake from @Marnie’s cake.
Thomas cut each of the slices and handed this out to guests by himself.
A beautiful intimate moment between him and his guests. Showing appreciation to them all.
The two then sat down and shared a moment before the jovial celebrations kicked off.
We captured them throwing loads of shapes and having a great time @geesgallery before we bid them goodnight.
It was a gorgeous elopement in Oxford.
